Counseling Experience
I have a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Before I graduated, I was offered the opportunity to go on a humanitarian trip to Swaziland with a group of professors and students from Nova Southeastern University. We assessed orphaned children and students with mental health concerns. We facilitated psychoeducation groups for students, covering topics such as substance use, suicide prevention, and conflict resolution.
In addition to my private practice, I currently work for a non-profit substance use organization. I have experience working with clients challenged with depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, addiction, chronic illness, major life transitions, relationship issues, and other mental health challenges. I have worked with clients of all ages, including diverse populations such as older adults, LGBTQIA+ community, MSM population, and youth juvenile offenders.
